About Taiburyldyn Shabysy

Taiburyldyn Shabysy translates from Kazakh as "the gallop of the stallion". If you spend a morning on horseback here with the steppe opening out in front of you, you will understand immediately why the name fits.

We started taking guests because visitors kept asking. A friend would come to see the horses, ride once, and come back with someone else. That person would come back with a group. We never set out to build a tour company. We set out to share something we genuinely love, with people who were genuinely curious about it. That is still what we do.

Kazakhstan is a country that most of our guests did not know well before they came. Almost all of them leave wanting to return. We think that says something, not about us, but about the country, and about what it feels like to move through it slowly, on horseback, with people who call it home.

If you are thinking about coming, write to us. Tell us when, and how long you have, and what kind of rider you are. We will do the rest.

Our Ranch Location

The ranch is in Kabanbai Batyr Village, named after the same 18th-century Kazakh hero whose mausoleum our guests ride to on horseback. We think that's worth knowing before you arrive.
